The Garden of Algorithm Angels reflects on the era of algorithm and artificial intelligence. The music piece Pange Lingua, WAB33 composed by Anton Bruckner, video and text materials, mainly from sci-fi film genre and artist's personal archive are weaved together, inviting the viewer to an alternative world of blind folded belief and religion.
What is there to believe in? The human longing for faith and guidance is perhaps already transferred into algorithms and their suggestions, which allow us to oscillate in the melancholic comfort of fear and lost.
This work was commissioned for the exhibition <Wie alles begann: Bruckners Visionen (How everything started: Bruckner's Vision)>. The exhibition took place from May 4 to October 27, 2024, in St.Florian, Austria.
The work expands and takes the second version with AI-Generated music piece. This version (+⍺) was shown in the collective lecture performance at <Alucinations: Artistic Re-Appropriations of AI>, 2026, Buchmesse Leipzig, Leipzig, Germany
